How can I enter an extraordinary amortization?

  1. In the editing window of the deal click on Choose Columns and put a checkbox for Nominal amort.

  2. Confirm by clicking on Apply selection.
  3. In the schedule now appears the new column Nominal amort. Enter the required payment to the corresponding period.

  4. Check your entry by clicking the Calculate button or save it directly.

How can I check directly different scenarios of a specific deal?

  1. Open the deal in sals.a. In the lower right corner of the editing window you can find the scenario selection.

  2. Choose the preferred scenario and sals.a will directly apply it to the deal. Note that this change is only for viewing purpose - it can not be saved and after closing the deal it will be set back to the market situation.

Tip: Next to the scenario selection is a little chart icon, which brings you directly to the market data window, where you create your own scenario.

How should I proceed, if the start date of a loan falls on a weekend?

  1. Open up the product form and go to Expert Settings tab.
  2. If you choose the option for Business Day Convention, it would be relocated on a workday.

Tip: You can manually adjust the desired date, if you want it to start on a weekend or a holiday.

How can I create a hedge instrument for a deal?

With the Quick Hedge function it is possible to easily create a hedging instrument for your deal.

  1. Click on the hedge button next to the deal name.

  2. A window opens where you can choose the parameters. Confirm by using the Insert button and sals.a will create the corresponding instrument.

You can edit the specific details of the instrument at any time later in the editing window of the hedging instrument.

How can I add or remove portfolios?

To manage your portfolios, start by clicking the "Portfolios" button on your sals.a desktop.
