Wednesday, January 28, 2009To enter deals into a portfolio select the Add... button on the dashboard and the following pop-up will open.

To enter a deal manually click on the generic structure most appropriate to your requirement. Doing so will open the Deal Box where you can enter the specifics of the deal including nominal sum, dates, interest conditions, amorization, etc.
Having entered the relevant data press Save. The deal is now saved in the active portfolio.
General notes
If you are entering a transaction with a floating rate of interest that commenced in the past, click Load Historic Rates to import the interest applicable for the relevant fixing dates.
You can amend the rates manually in the column “Fixing Rate”, but you then also have to adjust the absolute interest payments under “Cash Flow Interest”.
In some countries, funding structures with long tenors (above 10 or 20 years) are common (e.g. for property or public sector financing). Often, these deals comprise a starting period with fixed rates (e.g. 10 years) with floating interest thereafter.
You can enter such deals via the instrument type Floating Rate Funding and specify the fixed coupon period in the fields “Next Fixing Date” and “Fixing Rate”. After the “Next Fixing Date”, the coupon will switch to floating rate funding (as specified in the relevant fields including the margin).
- In the deal entry mask, you can have a look at how the sals.a scenarios will affect the particular transaction by choosing one in the “Scenario Selection” field at the bottom of the window. The cash flows in the Deal Schedule will adjust automatically.
