Importing deals data to sals.a

To start importing, click Add... > Import deals from MS Excel.

Open Excel import in sals.a

This will open a pop-up which allows you to browse Excel import templates by asset class or deal type.

Click on the most appropriate structure to open the template Excel sheet. Having populated the sheet, save it to your computer.

Tip: when copying your data to the import template, use the function “Paste Special”, then “Values” to avoid format changes.

To upload the sheet into the system first select the Target portfolio where you would like the deals to be saved. Now Browse for the file containing the data and press Import. The system will confirm if your upload has been successful and the portfolio will appear in Portfolios section.

Please note:

  • sals.a® requires you to follow the headings in the worksheets in order to import.
  • The target portfolio select box is ignored when you have specified portfolios separately for each deal in the spreadsheet
